I am not exaggerating when I say that losing weight will change your life. How you feel about yourself affects every single aspect of your life. Before I lost weight, I was not productive and my priorities were all over the place. I did not get anything done because I spent most of my time eating and wasting time because I was trying to fill voids. I did not feel good about myself and that led to many problems in my personal and professional life. Once I finally took control of my health, most of those problems resolved. Why? Because I had the confidence to deal with them.

Yes, it is great to look awesome in photos and feel comfortable in smaller clothes, but those things are just the icing on the cake. Improving your health is the real reason to lose weight. This is because nothing else matters if you are not healthy. (And yes, being healthy does not always equal losing weight. But for most of us, eating healthy foods and consistently exercising leads to weight loss.) Living a healthy lifestyle is the best way to prevent diseases and live a longer life. You can then best serve yourself, your family, and your friends when you are in your best shape.

Losing weight and getting healthy will give you real confidence. I did not have confidence when I was overweight but I acted like I did. Real confidence gives you the power to take over the world. Once I lost weight and gained real confidence, I was able to take leaps of faith that I never thought I could. I finally had the courage to do more with my life. I had faith in myself because I now understood that I could conquer difficult tasks.

Understand that losing weight is hard. If it were easy, everyone would do it. You will have to fight and persevere to lose weight and become a healthy person. However, all of that pain and suffering is worth it because you will become a different person. You will learn patience and perseverance through your journey. You will gain real confidence. You will finally have the energy you need to get through the day. These qualities will make your life accelerate in the right direction. There is nothing better you can do for you or your family.

Taking control of your health is difficult but it will help you take control of many other areas of your life. If you feel like you cannot lose weight, then you probably feel helpless, even if you will not admit it. You may also feel like a failure because you have tried time and again to lose weight and it never sticks. I know. I was there myself. I tried many, many times to lose weight before I finally got the hang of it. You will eventually be able to break through the barriers that are holding you back and lose weight. And when you do, it will affect every aspect of your life, not just your waistline. So, keep trying. Keep pushing. Make healthy food choices. Go to the gym. Do it even when you do not feel like it. Every little thing makes a difference. You can and you will do this. It is worth it!
